Plan your journey

Whether you plan to drive, fly or take the train, there are several convenient travel options available. Having used many of them ourselves over the years, we’ve shared our recommendations below.

The drive takes approximately 10 hours from Calais, but it helps to have a car if you’re travelling with your own ski gear. There is free parking just a few meters from the apartment.

The England-to-France crossing can be completed either by the Channel Tunnel (Folkestone-Calais in 35 minutes) or by Ferry. From here, you need to consider how long it will take to drive the rest of the way, and whether you will do this in one go or with an overnight stop.

Recommended Hotels:

Approx Toll Costs: €200

A faster option is to fly, with four nearby airports to choose from. From there, you can hire a car, continue by train (see below), or book a transfer for the final leg of your journey.

Local Airports:
– Chambery (CMF)
– Grenoble (GNB)
– Geneva (GVA)
– Lyon (LYS)

Trusted Transfers:
Bens Bus

Our least recommended travel route due to multiple changes and most likely heavy suitcases. However, travelling by train is still a valid option.

London St Pancras ➡️ Eurostar to Paris ➡️ high-speed TGV from Paris Gare de Lyon ➡️ Moûtiers, the nearest main station to Les Menuires.

From Moûtiers, the resort is around a 1-hour transfer by car, taxi or bus.
